Abel IT Consulting
Management Consultancy
Management consultancy is a service provided
with the aim of helping organisations take positive steps towards achieving
its goals. Services can range from improving efficiency & performance
of departments, processes or IT systems through to developing a mechanism
for training new staff and ensuring best practices are employed throughout
the organisation.
Management Consultancy services are normally viewed top-down focusing initially on medium to long term strategy, unlike Business Analysis services which complement this by working from the ground up.
Consultants are no longer solely for large organisations, smaller local businesses can benefit from the advice and support of an external consultant. It is common to find in local businesses with a small number of resources that sometimes it takes an outsider to raise awareness of items as the staff are too focused on their roles to be able to have the luxury of stepping back to review the bigger picture.

Business Analysis
Business Analysis is the technique of identifying
business needs or issues and following with a process of defining tangible
requirements that can then be transformed into a suitable solution and
implemented to the benefit of the organisation. Solutions are often
thought to be IT based but it may be in the organisation's best interests
to change processes or business goals rather than implement a potentially
expenses IT solution which may not improve upon the situation.
